Learn in this DIY how to create a foldable snack bowl with our sustainable and ecologically friendly laser material, TroCraft Eco.
- 1 sheet of TroCraft Eco 1.0mm
- Cover material
Load our templates into your program and edit them to suit your needs. Send the images for the snack bowl to your Trotec laser with the below print settings:
|Process mode||Resolution||Cut line|
|color||Optimized geometries, internal geometries first|
Put the sheet of TroCraft Eco (made of pure cellulose fiber) on your laser's honeycomb cutting table and then block off the rest of the working area to generate a stronger vacuum. The settings you use may be different depending on the type of laser machine and laser power you have available.
|Color||Process||Power (%)||Speed (%)||ppi/Hz|
The inside of the bowl is the bottom side of the TroCraft sheet.
If you want the engraving to show inside the bowl, then you should first cut out the bowl without engraving. Then, for the second step, take the cut-out bowl, flip it upside down and place it back in the same spot within the laser. Next, set the engraving parameters to active and turn off the cutting settings. This will make it so that your engraved design is seen inside of the bowl.
Delicately fold the four kiss-cut guidelines for the corners. Repeatedly fold them until the edges are crisp. Next, fold the cut lines that are inbetween the other four towards the opposite direction. When you can recognize the folded bowl shape, place the fork through the two slits. Now the bowl can be placed somewhere without losing its shape.
