Technical support / service engineer
My profession:
Technical support / service engineer
My workplace:
Trotec Laser UK (Washington)
Employed with Trotec since:
24th April 2017
My personal work motto:
Don't worry about it, tech will fix it!
I work on the service tech desk with my colleagues, together we help our customers diagnose problems with their machines. Typically I would connect to the customer's PC via TeamViewer to solve the issue.
As well as this, I carry out machine services/retrofits/upgrades such as upgrading to JC Vision and temperature sensor kits.
...helping others fix their laser machine or servicing laser machines in our workshop
"As I work with Simon 1 (ST1) and Simon 2 (ST2) we had discussed changing my name to Simon 3 (ST3) as an inside office joke."- A funny anecdote from my work life - John Dobinson -
I get to play with lasers.
Every day is a school day, I'm always learning and people are always willing to help out.
I am a tech geek and an avid gamer, mostly PC. I have my own custom built gaming PC, and have recently invested in an Oculus rift (Virtual reality). Other than gaming, I enjoy relaxing at home with my girlfriend and our dog.
