Trotec would like to take this opportunity to congratulate ColourChiefs for dominating the Queensland Printing Industries Craftmanship Awards (PICAs) this year. The Digital Printing company took home seven gold medals, including an award for their Yaroomba Beach Presentation Packaging job. In total, ColourChiefs received 11 medals in total on the night – which is very impressive!
We must give an honourable mention to the printer and packaging company Platypus Graphics who also had an amazing night, collecting four gold, five silvers and two bronze medals. There really was a lot of talent present at the PICAs this year, and we are extremely proud of ColourChiefs for finishing the night on such an impressive and deserved high-note.
“Queenslanders; you should be proud of the exceptional work that you do. I offer my congratulations to all
medallists – you have been recognised as the best amongst a high standard of entries” – Andrew Macaulay, CEO of PIAA
ColourChiefs are an innovative, intelligent company that have built a respected and well-known name for themselves. By utilising many different materials and tools when completing projects, they stand out from most other printing companies. They are currently in possession of a Trotec SP500, with Pass-Through technology, as well as their own printers and routers – and they utilise every single one of these machines to complete a well-made, unique job! That kind of dedication and commitment is the reason ColourChiefs made such a splash at the 2017 PICAs! They simply do a lot more than most other printing businesses would consider.
We at Trotec have been working closely with ColourChiefs since 2014, and we have greatly enjoyed watching them grow and expand into the successful and proud company they are today. We are excited to see where the future will take this prospering group, and are looking forward to continually helping them along that path.
