Last month, Trotec had the tremendous honour of sponsoring ‘Bucket List’, a team of two caring and brave people, in the 2018 Shitbox Rally. We were inspired, we were proud, we laughed and we prayed for this brave team, along with all the other daring souls that participated in this beautiful charity event!

What is the Shitbox Rally?

The ‘Shitbox Rally’ is a charity event that raises money for the Cancer Council of Australia. It’s not a race, but a challenge to drive cars worth $1,000 or less across Australia via some of the most formidable roads. This year, the week-long event started in Brisbane and finished in Darwin and raised a grand total of $14,650,200 for cancer research – now that’s impressive!

Since its beginnings, the Shitbox Rally has grown to a total of 200+ teams (as well as support teams) taking their cars to the road as part of this incredible fundraising effort. All the teams agree that it’s a hugely rewarding event to be a part of.

Who Are ‘Bucket List’?

‘Bucket List’ are customers of ours from Queensland, and we were over the moon with excitement to be sponsoring such a great pair of caring individuals. They had a fantastic time taking their ‘shit box’ across Australia, and we were so proud of them. Read about the great time they had on their Facebook page below.
