Laser Cutting Paper and Cardboard

Laser cutting is a quick and easy process that can be used for processing paper, cardboard and other materials for scrapbooking, paper arts, crafting and designing. The benefits offered by a laser open up new design options which will set you apart from the competition.

Even engraving paper with the laser delivers impressive results. Whether quirky designs, photographs or ornaments the only limit is your imagination.

A laser from Trotec will expand the design options available and reduce the production time of products that may have once been financially nonviable to create. Plus, with Trotec's recently launched JobControl Vision, precisely cut around printed products with the intelligent but user friendly camera system.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see how the Speedy 300 flexx with JobControl Vision can create precision engraving whilst cutting at a maximum speed of 355cm/sec and acceleration of 5g. The intelligent JobControl Vision camera uses registration marks to determine the position and rotation of printed sheet material on the working area of the laser. Additionally, any distortions – linear or non-linear – in the printed graphics are recognised with the Vision camera. By applying sophisticated mathematical algorithms the system compensates for the detected print distortions and adjusts the cutting path dynamically to match the artwork.
