When engraving very deeply into wood, we find it can be very helpful to cut the job first and engrave it later.

Step 7: Cleaning & Assembling

Now, it is time to clean the two acrylic pieces you cut previously with a damp cloth. The wooden engraving should be cleaned with a little bit of water and a toothbrush. Here, you can find some tips for the correct cleaning method.

Place the acrylic glue onto the engraved ring on the base plate and position the TroGlass Metallic ring on it carefully. Press down firmly when you have the right positioning and allow the glue to cure. This may take a few seconds. Then, place some double-sided adhesive tape or some small dots where the wooden relief will be positioned and fix it there. Then, apply some more double-sided adhesive to both sides. Position it on the left and right side of the black base plate. Ensure that you have a rectangular contact surface so that the trophy always stands upright and doesn't shift or roll around.

Finally, it's time to attach the lettering and the corresponding backings. Now, you have completed your elegant, eye-catching trophy!

Inspiration

Try combining other kinds of SolidWood and TroGlass materials to adapt the trophy to yours or your customers’ requirements. Just keep in mind that you might need to run a few tests first.
