Whilst some applications require a strong vacuum, others demand powerful suction through the exhaust slots. In order to achieve optimal results, we recommend using the air flow shutter to control the extraction air flow.
When using a vacuum table, the air flow shutter effectively regulates the exhaust system and the 75mm exhaust connection on the Speedy 300, Speedy 400 and SP500.
By simply adjusting the air flow shutter and reducing the air flow on the exhaust connection, the suction at the table is automatically enhanced. A stronger vacuum allows a firmer hold of films, paper and other thin materials. The cutting quality of acrylic and plastic materials is also significantly increased, as the resulting fumes are instantly extracted. This ultimately provides clear and shiny cutting edges.
