Step By Step Tutorial
The designer Andrei Bulai, who proudly owns his own full, luscious beard, has created these fantastic wooden beard combs using Trotec wood. This simple tutorial also includes the downloadable graphic file and laser parameters.
Download the comb template. There are three different designs to choose from, and you can create the size you like based on the beard size! Place the wood on the work surface and cover the rest of the surface with other material (e.g. paper) to ensure maximum suction.
Process Mode | Resolution | Cut Line |
---|---|---|
Standard | 500dpi | None |
Halftone | Others |
---|---|
Colour | Enhanced Geometries, Inner Geometries First |
Place the Dark Blue LaserPaper into your Trotec laser engraving machine and focus on its surface. Create the parameter settings. Please note that the parameters can vary depending on the laser machine you are using and its available laser power.
Colour | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Black | Engrave CO2 | 55 | 50 | 500 |
Red | Cut CO2 | 100 | 1.8 | 1000 |
Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|
1 | ON | 6mm | - |
1 | ON | - | - |
After completing the laser cutting and engraving steps, very carefully remove the comb from the rest of the wood, ensuring you don't snap the thin, delicate pieces. Clean the comb with a damp cloth, and your trendy beard comb is ready for use!
