Personalise and customise ordinary IKEA bottles with Trotec laser machines.
Before you start, make sure the laser machine is turned off. Once this is done, you then need to mount the rotary attachment and plug it in. After that, you can switch on the laser.
Apply a damp paper towel on the surface of your bottle. Use a sponge or spray to then moisten the towel. This step is crucial as it will assist in preventing the glass from splintering as well as help you achieve a white engraving. Make sure there are no wrinkles or air bubbles.
Place the bottle into the rotary. You may need to adjust the inclination angle in order to bring the engraving surface to a parallel position.
Import the PDF file into Corel Draw. Personalise the file with a sentimental quote or unique design and send it to the laser. Make sure you have entered the diameter of the glass in the 'properties' dialogue and that you have also activated the rotary attachment.
A Speedy 400 was used for this application with 80 Watts laser power and the following parameters:

Power: 100%
Speed: 60%
Frequency: 500 ppi
Air Assist: OFF
