Trotec will be offering a new automated laser cutting solution designed for soft signage applications. Featuring a generous 126 by 128-inch work area and a maximum roll width of 125.9 inches, the SP4000 laser cutting machine is ideal for soft signage applications such as banners, flags, or light boxes. The new laser machine combines an automated solution with high cutting speeds and convincing accuracy, allowing you to achieve high production volumes with perfect quality. The SP4000 wide format laser machine can be custom configured around a conveyor belt with feeder unit and unloading table to accommodate your workflow processes.
The laser beam melts the material while cutting, resulting in clean, perfectly sealed edges with no fraying. Another advantage is the contactless and tool-free process, making it possible to easily process trickier materials such as elastic.
Unlike many other laser cutting and engraving machines on the market, the SP series does not carry the laser source on the working head or on the axis. This would significantly limit the movement system in its cutting speed as well as the laser power. The Trotec R&D team focused on maximizing the performance by installing a stationary laser source in the body of the machine so that the laser beam is carried to the material via mirrors over the entire working area. Since the laser source is fixed, there are no restrictions on the installed laser power. This is a crucial productivity advantage. For typical soft signage applications, we propose a laser power of 200 watts to achieve maximum productivity.
