Happy Valentine's Day 

On 14th of February we celebrate Valentine's Day. How about a personal and individual gift? With this idea you can create a very special candle light. The wooden candle holder can be personalized with names, dates or quotations. In this example, we used alder. Of course, the application also works with other types of wood. Happy Valentine's Day!

 

Materials needed:

    • 3 mm alderwood or beech wood
    • 1 tea candle 


Machines possible:
Speedy 100, Speedy 300, Speedy 500

    Machine used: Speedy 300, 60 Watt

    Tips:

  • Use the 1.5 inch lens
    • You get a better contrast when using a firm and plain type of wood.  

Step 1:

Open the file "Valentine" and send it to the laser. Use the parameters below for engraving and cutting. Parameters may vary depending on the machine used and the laser power available.

Black (engraving)
Power: 30 %, Speed 20 %, Resolution 500 dpi, air assist on

Red (cutting):
Power: 60 %, Speed 1 %, Frequency 1000 Hz, air assist on, correction 10 

Step 2: 

As soon as you have cut the parts you can assemble them.
