BBQ Wooden Plates 

Decorate standard wooden plates with decoration or designs. We have engraved a standard 9.75 inch (25 cm) round plate and a 8.25 x 6 inch (21 x 15 cm) rectangular plate.

    Materials needed: 

    • Wooden plate diam. 9.75 inch (25 cm) or
    • Wooden plate 8.25 x 6 inch (21 x 15 cm)

    Files:

    BBQ Plate 1 - File for wood engraving round plates

    BBQ Plate 2 - File for wood engraving rectangular plates

     

    Machines possible:

    Rayjet, Speedy 100, Speedy 300 and Speedy 500

    Machine used: Speedy 300 25 watts

     

    Special notes:

    • We used a 2” lens.
    • Get best results by engraving from bottom to top.
    • If you want to engrave large surfaces (like in this case), you get best results by defocussing 5 mm (Z-offset 5 mm)

    Step 1:  

    First open the File “BBQ Plate round” and send the job to the engraver.

    Step 2:  

    Start engraving using the parameters for raster engraving below:

    Speed: 60%

    Power: 90%

    Resolution: 500 dpi

    Z-offset: 5 mm
