Christmas Boots: Felt and leather 

There are many creative laser ideas for the holiyday season. Surprise your loved ones with self-made Christmas Boots.

 

  • Trotec Weihnachtsstiefel

    Material needed:

      • red felt, approx. 4mm
      • white alcantara  
      • green wool or thread, approx. 2 mm

     

    Of course, you can use other colors - there are no limits to your creativity.

      Speedy 100, Speedy 300, Speedy 300 flexx, Speedy 500

       

      Trotec machine used: Speedy 300 60 W 

       

      Tips:

      • Use the 1.5" lens 
      • Use felt out of 100% Polyester, this material is ideally suited for laser processing.
     
  • Filz gravieren 

    Step 1: 

    Open the file "Christmas Boots" and send it to the laser. This sample is made of two different materials. We started with engraving and cutting the red felt. 

     

    Black (Engraving): 

    Power: 35 %, Speed: 50 %, Resolution: 1000 dpi/1000 ppi

    Red (Cutting):
    Power: 65 %,  Speed: 3 %, Resolution: 1000 dpi/1000 Hz

     

    Parameters may vary depending on the machine used and the laser power available.

     
  • Alcantara Leder laserschneiden 

    Step 2: 

    The next step is the brim.  

     

    Rot (Schneiden):
    Power: 65 %, Speed: 3 %, Resolution: 1000 dpi/1000 Hz

  • Weihnachtsstiefel 

    Step 3: 

    Now the only thing you need, is a woollen thread and some time to stitch the christmas boots.
