BBQ Party Invitation Card 

If you are planning a special party, send out customized invitations to your friends! We are engraving and cutting standard paper to create a unique and distictive invitation using two different kinds of paper.

 

  • Laser cutting and laser engraving paper invitation card

    Materials needed: 

    • 1 sheet of gray paper, size A4
    • 2 sheet of dark red paper, size A4
    • Glue stick

    Files:

    BBQ paper 1 - File to be printed on the base

    BBQ paper 2 - Cutting file to cut out the base

    BBQ paper 3 - Engraving and cutting file to cut out the top

     

    Machines possible:  

    Rayjet, Speedy 100, Speedy 300, Speedy 500

    Cutting paper requires only little laser power. So you can start processing paper

    with laser power as low as 12 watts.

     

    Machine used: Speedy 300 25 watts

     

    Special Notes:

    • If you are not using a vaccum table, reduce the suction power of the exhaust unit to the lowest possible level in order to avoid the paper from being lifted.

    Step 1: 

    Start by opening the “BBQ Paper1” file in CorelDraw. For this file we are going to use the gray paper which is the base of the card. Print the text on this gray base paper.

    Step 2:  

    Open the “BBQ Paper2” file in CorelDraw. The layout shows the outline of the base paper. Below are the settings for vector cutting:

    Speed: 0.5 %

    Power: 10 %

    Frequency: 1000 Hz

    Step 3:  

    Next open the “Paper3.cdr” file in CorelDraw. This file shows the design and outline of the top paper. We chose to engrave this paper and the vector cut it. Below are the settings for raster engraving and vector cutting:

    Raster Engraving: Speed: 100 %,  Power: 100 %,  Resolution: 500 dpi

    Vector Cutting: Speed: 0.5 %, Power: 10 %, Frequency: 1000 Hz

    Step 4:  

    Now glue the engraved and cut dark red paper on the base paper using

    standard glue stick.
