    In the process of manufacturing the displays, the acrylic glass plates must first be cut precisely to fit. Eremit had needed a cost-effective method for solving this cutting task with first-rate quality.

    The Challenge 

    A basic precondition was that the cutting edges provided the perfect quality that customers had come to expect from Eremit. Of course, the solution also had to be

    economical; investment costs were to be kept as low as possible. Since the lot size is generally rather high, but small runs are quite frequent as well, the cutting system has to be flexible and easy to operate. A suitable size of the working area is absolutely essential in processing the often very large workpieces.

    The Trotec Solution 

    Eremit decided on the large format CO2 laser Professional TP 1313 from Trotec. In just the 60 Watt version the laser delivered top results with good throughput times. Even when processing extruded acrylic, the Professional TP 1313 achieves excellent cutting edges. Its working area of 1300 mm by 1300 mm makes it easy to process also very large sheets of material. The specially developed software enables quick and safe operation of the laser system. By now the ambitious company already has four Professionals and two Speedy 300 in place. Eremit was won over by their high availability, perfect quality of the cutting edges and the high through-put.
