Lasersoftware DirectMark: New release  

In the beginning of 2011 Trotec presented DirectMark, the first real printer driver, into the world of direct part marking with galvo laser systems. As a genuine printer driver DirectMark can be used from any software with a printing function. Now the new release is available.

    Organizing your printing jobs 

    Starting with the DirectMark 1.2 release we have now added features to make managing your print jobs easier. Automatically, the marking time is displayed for each job. This facilitates the estimation of productivity. Another practical tool, the job history, gives you an overview of how many copies were marked at what time and how long each job took to mark. This function supports regular reporting. An archive function allows saving the spool file, so when additional copies are needed after the production, you can reload them directly instead of having to print them again from your graphic software. Thanks to the password protection, your optimized settings like laser parameter, position or resolution can be protected. These new features are designed to help you in your daily work.

    More hardware options  

    The DirectMark 1.2 release will now also work with Trotec’s rotary unit for marking on round parts, like rings, cups or tool parts. The part diameter is the only additional information needed. Need to speed up handling? No problem, now a footswitch can be used to trigger the next mark when doing multiple copies.

    Laser marking - as easy as printing  

    To the operator the DirectMark driver appears as a standard properties dialogue linked to the print function and a printer queue to handle pending jobs. All this was made possible by putting years of experience in laser marking into our driver to offer features like the material database which makes picking the right laser parameters as easy as selecting the material of your choice from a list or the Logo mode that automatically vectorizes any graphic before sending it to the laser to make best use of our high speed scan heads.

    DirectMark printer driver is available as an option for all our SpeedMarker FL marking systems. For the ProMarker it is a standard.
