Tips & Tricks: Positioning jobs multiple in JobControl   

Trotec's JobControl gives you the possibility to send one job to the laser and position this job on the plate multiple times. Consequently even if you want to engrave the same layouts on a sheet of material, you just need to send one layout to the laser, the rest can be multiplied in JobControl.

Some additional tips & tricks:

  • The standard value for the plate setup in JobControl is the maximum engraving area of the laser you are using (e.g. Speedy 300 730 x 436 mm or 28 x 18 ").
  • If you want to use the multiple positioning command on a smaller work piece (e.g. A4 sheet of paper or rubber), you can adapt the plate set up to this value and the software uses this area only to position the jobs.
  • You can also choose "2 plates together" in the plate - plate setup dialog. If you position two sheets side by side the jobs are positioned on the second sheet once the first one is full.
  • If you just need two identical jobs to be engraved you can either use the "position job multiple" command or duplicate the job.
