Tips & Tricks: Using markers in JobControl   

Markers are used as positioning aid for engraving  jobs. Especially when identical items need to be engraved with different designs, it is important that the engraving position is defined precisely in advance.

Trotec's JobControl software therefore has the "markers" supporting both experienced users and beginners to avoid wrong positioning and therefore saves time and money.

Markers can be added in various ways:

  • You may define an exact position of the marker (as shown in the video). Just insert the coordinates where you want to add the marker. Crosslines appear. The job can snap into either corner of the crosslines or centered.
  • Alternatively, you can also add the marker to the job already positioned on the plate ("Marker to job")
  • A third possibility is to add the marker to the position where the laser head is currently located ("Marker to laser")
