My Speedy 300 is nearing 5 years old without a service issue or replacement part. I purchased our 90 watt Trotec Speedy 2 laser over four years ago after owning an 80 watt laser from another company for 5 years. I was first impressed by the Trotec’s clearly superior design, durability, and its quality of engraving. That alone would have been enough to convince myself I made the correct purchase. Since then, I have found many other things to reinforce that decision. From the significantly reduced time and cost of maintenance and the ease of operation, to the outstanding technical support from Scott Hutchinson in Michigan, Trotec continues to be my choice. One feature that Trotec has that most other laser companies ignore, is the ability to set a start or “home” position anywhere on the table using the red dot indicator. I never realized how important that was until I found that I could take any odd shaped item, set it anywhere on the table, run the red dot to the center of the engraving area, engrave it within seconds, and have it perfectly positioned every time. That may not seem like a big deal until you have a customer drop off an odd shaped item that you have never seen before and you can design, setup, and start engraving the item in as little as 1-2 minutes. This one feature alone has saved my business countless hours of work for my engravers. Every year I check out Trotec’s competitors. I have yet to find one with a better system.

We were using an Epilog Radius engraver for many years when our shop was vandalized and burned. Out of this fire I purchased a Trotec Speedy 300 - 60 watt laser engraver. This machine is a Lamborghini compared to the Chevy I had.... This machine has opened up areas of my business that I never knew existed. I can engrave on almost anything. Size is not an issue anymore with the drop down front, I have done custom cabinet doors, musical, and medical instruments. My trophies and awards business has taken on new meaning and it is all because of this machine.
The ease of conversion from Corel Draw to the laser....the ability to get more accuracy than before and the snap feature is extraordinary, You can go to 3 decimal points when you are aligning a piece and can set your laser to the exact spot you want and snap your engraving to that point. There also are a lot of preset settings, so I don't have to keep a notebook of settings for different items, and I have the ability to adjust a setting for an item and then save that setting for future jobs of that type.
I could fill a book with accolades for this machine. It was more expensive than the other machines out there but, with not having all the extra time in set up. Settings and tests, it has already paid for itself.

The Speedy 300 has been a great asset to our company. We have been using the Trotec Speedy 300 Laser in combination with the Job Control software for almost a year now with absolutely no issues of any kind. The great customer support and service has allowed us to run the laser 60 hours a week with great understanding of its capabilities and maintenance schedule. I recently purchased a Rayjet Laser system for my company. It has been the best investment I have ever made. The ease of operation is incredible, along with the beauty and elegance that it adds to the end product. We have seen our sales increase considerably since we installed it. The customers are very surprised with the difference in the results, compared to the traditional drag engraving we offered until now. We purchased a complete system including a Speed 100 45 Watt, computer, software, and exhaust blower from Don Mayhew in Atlanta about 2 years ago. We had been using scratch engravers until then. Our Trotec Laser has given us the ability to deliver much faster and increase the number products we offer. We don’t spend long nights engraving any more. With the laser we have added acrylics, wood plaques, glass, tile, stainless steel, and more. People in the area that have seen our work recommend us to their friends. Don has always been helpful in getting us pointed in the right direction when we add a new product. We have not had one minute of trouble from our laser system.

As expected, we can do existing and new work much better and quicker with the Trotec laser. Furthermore, the consistency of the repeatability is impressive. In combination with the exhaust we have an odorless, almost noiseless and dust free machine, by which the work pleasure and working conditions in the factory have been enormously improved. The machine itself works generally very stable and reliable. When there occasionally occured a problem, I was very content with the quickness Trotec was able to fix it. -

When we received our first Trotec laser system we were so impressed of the high performance and mechanical design which is far better than of the other CO2 laser systems we used so far. We still use our old laser systems but some of our customers insist on Speedy as production machine for their articles due to the superior quality results. -
